REST is something broader than that. I'm against the fact that REST has no pub/sub in it. However, I have never tried to build a large-scale system with REST. SOA, yes. REST no. To me, it doesn't feel right. The fact that Astoria is apparently based on REST does not give it bonus points. I’m for the scalability of HTTP GET.
